Silver Stories is incredibly proud that Mary, who has been a Silver Reader for over five years, is a finalist in the BBC Radio Manchester Young Hero Award. These awards are part of the annual BBC Radio Manchester ‘Make a Differnece’ Awards. They aim to celebrate children under the age of 16 who are making a positive impact in their community. Mary is certainly doing that and has made a real difference in the lives of her Silver Listeners.
In addition to all that she does as a Silver Reader, Mary is also the Silver Reader Ambassador for Silver Stories as she spreads he word about the work of the charity and all that it achieves.
