In the words of Bertie “Meeting you has been the best day of my life”. Bertie was speaking as he met our Patron Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall as she visited Silver Stories in July.
Her Royal Highness met with Silver Listeners and Silver Readers, parents and Silver Stories schools from across the country. Her Royal Highness chatted with everyone and heard first hand just what being part of Silver Stories means to them.
Her Royal Highness signed a commemorative book and, in response to words from the creators and founders of Silver Stories commented:
“As a very proud patron of Silver Stories, thank you to everybody involved, the children the elder people and Elisabeth who has put all this together. As she (Elisabeth) said, It’s the simplest idea and it’s usually the simplest things that really work. The proof is in the pudding here, so thank you very much to the children again, all the grown-ups and all the Silver Listeners. It’s brilliant, so thank you.”
